This decision is totally up to you. Obviously there is a minimum of 30
photos that is charged. So you should at least use 30 photos. I will tell
you that you should use no more than 18-20 photos per song selected. The photos
are synchronized to the song selected. 18 photos allows the photos to be
shown on the screen an average of 8-10 seconds. Any less, the photos would
go too fast and not properly enjoyed. Plus, if you use less photos, the film
will only last as long as the song(s) selected. Most people use 75-200
photos per film. This lets the film last 10-20 minutes. The cost is not that
much more and will make a more enjoyable experience.
We use very high resolution scanning devices to scan your photos. Many
people are concerned about their original photos being lost. I can assure
you we have never lost or damaged a photo yet! As soon as your package is
received, it is placed in a safe until the photos are scanned. Immediately
after scanning photos, they are returned to the safe and not removed again
until shipping. We actually take better care of your photos then we do our
own! We do recommend placing your photos in a freezer bag for shipping. This
ensures that no damage is done to the photos during shipping back and forth.
But we do request that you send the original photos. There is a significant
difference in the film quality when we receive photos on a disc already
scanned. We always want to prepare the best presentation possible!
Videos can be added to a film, in between a batch of photographs. We receive
many requests for this and it does make a film more interesting. We do
charge $10 for each video segment added (up to each 10 minutes of video is
considered one video segment).
You can choose any type of music you wish. We currently have over 250,000
song titles in our files. If we do not have the song, we will get it for
you. Or, you may also include the CD of the song and we will use that in the
film (if you are using an unusual song or from a special CD-please send us
the CD). Your CD will be returned to you with the completed package.
Not only is this possible, but we encourage you to do so! The film should
have titles in the beginning and for each subsequent group of photos. We
will create this title digitally for you and separate each section of the
film. There are NEVER ANY CHARGES for titles in a film!
Yes you can and the cost is only $12 per DVD. Once we prepare the film, it
is no problem for us, while burning the DVD to make additional copies. The
work is creating the actual film. Each copy comes with it's own DVD case and
CD label. Believe me, once someone sees your DVD, they will want a copy of
it. All of our DVD creations have copy-guard protection against unauthorized
duplication.
Upon receipt, we usually take 2-5 days (2-4 weeks for 8mm, Super8 and 16mm
films) to have the finished product ready
for shipment. Each photo is carefully scanned, restored and enhanced and
trust me this can be time consuming. Our DVD burners are professional
machines (not a DVD burner in a computer). They record only at the slowest
speed. This ensures the best quality film produced.
There are situations where someone needs a film quickly. We can prepare the
film within 24 hours of receipt and mail it the next day at an additional
cost. The "rush" charge amount is $25 for a 24 hour turnaround time plus
applicable overnight shipping charges. A rush order constitutes any order
being processed within seven (7) calendar days.
Your completed package is shipped to you via the U.S. Post Office. Packages
are sent to you first class Priority mail. If you wish a different type of delivery,
please contact us as to the costs associated with carrier shipping,
Overnight shipping or insurance.
Once you have received the completed DVD we can change the order of the
photos or music for you at an additional cost. We ask you to understand that
this film is already complete. It is not a draft copy. We would have to go
back into the actual work project and redo the film from scratch to complete
this request. These requests MUST be made within 15 days of receipt of the
DVD.
